Overview
Cyclists near Thousand Oaks are familiar with this climb as are Tour riders who use if for practice when in the area. Its 7.3% grade compares to the Alpe d’Huez 8.1% grade. However, it is only a quarter the length. When used in the Tour de California, riders make the climb four times as part of four loops. The total distance though not contiguous is the length of the Alpe d’Huez.
